NEOLIBERAL CRITICISMS OF NEOLIBERALISM. Free-market dogma and it’s allegued heresies

Changes and continuities of neoliberalism in the current ideological crisis of present-day capitalism are related with its ability to revitalize itself (resilience) within neoliberal thought. This conversion has resulted in a discursive displacement of orthodox viewpoints —positions considered “dogmatic” and “fundamentalism” to the market economy— towards more heterodox expressions of neoliberalism —a viewpoint in which the market economy continues to be the fundamental axis for the production and reproduction of social relations—. These intra-hegemonic changes can be seen in the transition from an original version of neoliberalism that favors “deregulation” (1970-2000) towards a new synthesis or version of “regulated” neoliberalism or “new” neoliberalism (2000-current), sometimes referred to as Post-Washington Consensus.
